In connection with the offer and/or distribution of batteries to end-users in mail order, we provide the following legally required information:
1. Return of Used Batteries
After use, batteries can be returned free of charge at designated collection points (e.g., municipal collection centers) or in retail stores.

2. Legal Obligation
End-users are legally obliged to return used batteries. This serves to protect the environment and recover valuable raw materials.
3. Meaning of Battery Symbols
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that the used battery must not be disposed of in household waste.
- Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury
- Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
- Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent lead
Definitions:
* "Batteries" are sources of electrical energy consisting of cells, obtained through chemical conversion.
** "End-user" is the person who uses batteries and does not resell them.
