The BMC CRD-400 SL Carbon wheelset combines aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and uncompromising robustness. With a modern rim depth of **40 mm**, this wheelset offers first-class sail effects in the wind and maximum stiffness for explosive acceleration off-road. Thanks to its **gravel approval**, this wheelset is perfectly suited for gravel roads, bikepacking, and cyclocross. Designed for modern thru-axles, the set uses a standard of **12x100 mm at the front** and **12x142 mm at the rear**. The set impresses with a light **739 g (front wheel)** and **905 g (rear wheel)**.
The rims are designed to the modern **622x23c (29")** standard, with an **inner rim width of 23 mm** providing perfect support for wide gravel tires. The system is completely **Tubeless Ready** for maximum traction and puncture protection. Equipped with BMC's own **CRD-400 SL hubs** including **Centerlock** mounts and a modern **SRAM XDR freehub**, the set is ready for the latest 12-speed drivetrains. For maximum stability, there are **24 spokes at the front and 28 spokes at the rear**.
