The Trek Aero RSL Road integrated handlebar/stem combo is the pinnacle of ergonomic cockpit development. Based on a Race Fit, it ensures an extremely aerodynamic riding position. The tops are approximately 3 cm narrower (390 mm) than the drops (420 mm), which reduces the frontal area and noticeably lowers aerodynamic drag. Crafted from ultralight OCLV Carbon, this system offers superior stiffness at a weight of just 315 g.
This functional cockpit features a 6° flare for excellent control in sprints and on descents. The fully internal cable routing ensures an extremely clean look (designed exclusively for electronic shifting). The cockpit comes standard on models such as the Madone Gen 8 or Checkmate SLR and can be retrofitted to other Trek models.
Note on conversion / retrofitting:
For conversion or upgrading from an SL model to this SLR handlebar unit, the matching spacer upgrade kit (item number UPGRADEKIT_SL2SLR in our online shop) is required. It fits perfectly on models such as the Checkpoint SL Gen 3, Checkpoint SLR Gen 3, Domane Gen 5, Checkmate SLR, Domane+ SL, and Madone SL / SLR Gen 8.
