The original Trek Madone SLR Gen 7 handlebar-stem unit (Barstem) is the heart of your aero setup. Made entirely from ultralight, stiff carbon, this integrated cockpit was developed exclusively for the Madone Gen 7 to reduce air resistance to almost zero. The groundbreaking design with a **race fit** is a full 3 cm narrower at the brake hoods than at the drops. This aerodynamic geometry automatically places the rider in a highly efficient, compact riding position.
This version combines a **brake hood width of 390 mm (drops 420 mm) with a more compact stem length of 90 mm**. A major advantage: the cockpit offers completely internal cable routing for a clean look.
