Assembly instructions for your shipped bike

Assembly instructions

Important information regarding the final assembly of your bicycle

Congratulations on your new bike! To ensure your used bicycle is safe and ready to ride, please read the following final assembly instructions carefully. These assembly instructions are part of the purchase agreement and serve your personal safety as well as legal protection.

NOTE ON SHIPPING CONDITION:
For shipping reasons, our bicycles are delivered partially disassembled. Typically, the handlebars are turned sideways or removed, the front wheel is taken off, and the saddle is lowered or removed.

1. Required expertise

Proper final assembly is absolutely essential . We strongly recommend having this done by a bicycle repair shop or a demonstrably qualified person.

Checklist for commissioning:

  • Handlebar installation: Install with the correct torque (refer to the manufacturer's specifications on the stem/handlebars). Especially with carbon parts: Generally, use 4–6 Nm!
  • Tax rate: Check the tax rate for play and adjust it professionally if necessary.
  • Wheels: Check that the front wheel is correctly seated in the fork and secure it properly using a quick-release skewer or thru-axle.
  • Brake system: Perform a complete functional check and, if necessary, align the brake calipers.
  • Drive & Pedals: Mount the pedals correctly (note right/left thread). Note: Pedals are not included in the standard scope of delivery unless otherwise stated.
  • Circuit: Checking the switching paths and fine-tuning the tension.
WARNING: Incorrect assembly, especially excessive torque on clamping connections, can lead to structural damage (especially with carbon fiber) and sudden component failure!

2. Documentation & Warranty

According to legal regulations, a warranty claim only exists if a defect was already present at the time of delivery.

Our recommendation: Have the final assembly documented by a workshop (e.g., with a note such as "Final assembly checked after shipment" on the workshop invoice). This serves as proof of proper commissioning in the event of a warranty claim.

3. Disclaimer

Damage caused by improper assembly, incorrect tools, incorrect tightening of screws, or failure to follow these assembly instructions is not covered by the warranty. The seller is not liable for accidents or consequential damages resulting from improper final assembly by the buyer.
