Decades of victories in motocross and rally competitions around the world have led our engineers to develop a new innovative rubber compound: the SmartGRIP compound for the Scorpion™ MTB, which combines opposing properties:
'Tear resistance for maximum mechanical grip on dry and wet surfaces as well as maximum resistance to punctures
'Chemical grip on wet terrain for uncompromising driving in all weather conditions
The SmartGRIP compound is the result of a comprehensive research and development process that has led us to the best possible performance in both dry and wet conditions. We chose a single compound formula to achieve the most consistent performance possible throughout the tire's lifespan, even as the lugs begin to wear.
Construction: LITE MTB
It's a lightweight and supple casing that maximizes speed, handling, and feel. It's considered the ideal casing for riders seeking maximum performance or those with a precise and accurate riding style. The LITE shaft is the ultimate cross-country weapon thanks to its low weight and superior speed, achieved through a 120tpi weave construction without additional sidewall protection. The LITE casing was specifically developed for cross-country use and for the lightest riders.
