Die Shimano CS-HG400-9 ist die ideale Wahl für Mountainbiker und Trekking-Fahrer, die eine zuverlässige, leichte und langlebige Kassette suchen. Als moderner Nachfolger der bewährten HG61- und HG50-Serien wurde dieses Modell konsequent gewichtsoptimiert. Dank größerer Hohlräume in den Ritzeln konnte eine Gewichtseinsparung von ca. 11 % gegenüber den Vorgängermodellen realisiert werden, ohne dabei an Stabilität oder Schaltpräzision einzubüßen.
Das Herzstück der Kassette ist die Hyperglide-Technologie (HG). Die speziell geformten Ritzel verfügen über gezielt positionierte Steighilfen und Zahnprofile, die den Weg der Kette beim Gangwechsel steuern. Das Ergebnis sind extrem schnelle, leise und flüssige Schaltvorgänge – sowohl beim Hoch- als auch beim Herunterschalten. Ob am 26", 27,5" oder 29er, die Abstufung von 11-32 Zähnen bietet eine vielseitige Bandbreite für unterschiedlichstes Gelände.
